I have been a member of ISES since 2005. I have gained knowledge through ISES that has helped me grow both professionally and personally. I have acquired ISES contacts throughout the world. I have been part of the ISES RI board; Director of Programs and Education for two years, VP of Programs and Education and now President Elect. I'm sitting on an ISES International committee for Eventworld 2012. I will also be participating as a speaker as Eventworld 2012 in Dallas this August 2-4. ISES RI chapter was recently awarded 2010-2011 Chapter of the Year. I am extremely proud to be part of ISES and am ready to lead the Rhode Island chapter. I want to spread my passion!

In 2006 I attended my first ISES meeting. I wanted to go to this meeting originally to meet other people in the event industry and start to educate myself within the organization. Throughout my six years of being an ISES member this organization has helped me significantly grow professionally and personally. What inspires me most about ISES is all the talented and creative people in our industry putting together new ideas to always keep our industry on top and fresh. What I hope to accomplish during my presidency is to give back to the members what I have gotten from ISES and that is the full understanding of all the opportunities that ISES can offer you.

I would like to express the importance of industry associations like ISES. I am a major advocate of groups such as: the SEARCH Foundation, NACE, MPI, the Boston and Rhode Island Wedding Groups, ICA, ARA, local chambers of commerce and visitors bureaus, and of course the ISES chapters for New England and Rhode Island. It is through these associations that we can get quality education, network and build the bonds and relationships that make this industry so great. These groups also allow us to be innovative and successful together. If you are not a member of one of the groups I mentioned above, please take the time to see what membership could do for you. Talk to someone you know who is involved, and find out first hand what benefits you will gain.
